Houston has a handful of authorized Rolex dealers and a few independent pre-owned dealers. On the watches we compared, local asking prices were in the same range as national ones, sometimes a little higher for brand new watches with a current card.

Authorized dealers sell new watches at retail, but popular steel models often come with a wait. Ask to be added to their interest list, and be patient.
Tips for buying locally
- See it in person. The big advantage of buying local is trying it on and checking the watch before you pay.
- Check the card and papers. Make sure the warranty card date and serial match the watch.
- Negotiate. An asking price is a starting point, especially on expensive models.
- Remember sales tax. Texas sales tax applies to most in-state purchases.
